EMA’s SOLVE team partnered with Ford Bend ISD and the A/E design consultants to develop an elementary school that meets LEED certification requirements and fulfills the District’s current and future facility needs. Malala is FBISD’s 51st elementary school and is designed to accommodate student growth, create flexibility and provide a thermally comfortable learning environment.
MEP Design Features:
The LEED Certified building utilizes energy-efficient MEP systems and incorporates innovative technology throughout. As the Owner’s advocate, our Commissioning Agents led the team through the new building commissioning process to help ensure that the facility followed LEED design standards and met the District’s goal to create a 21st-century learning environment.
