Reports to: Corporate Director of IT Job Summary: The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and wireless networks. This role ensures network reliability, security, and performance by managing hardware, configuring firewalls, monitoring traffic, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. The Network Administrator also supports identity and access management, maintains up-to-date documentation, and collaborates with internal teams and vendors during infrastructure projects and transitions. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include: - Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), VPNs, and other network segments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Install and configure network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches, wireless access points).
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, encryption, and other security measures.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and identity management systems.
- Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors during IT infrastructure transitions.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and inventory.
- Coordinate software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
- Support end users and Tier 1 techs with escalated networking issues.
- Provide input for future infrastructure planning and capacity management.

Education/Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Experience with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, SonicWall), routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments.
- Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Fortinet NSE.
- Experience with RingCentral, NinjaOne, remote desktop solutions, and cloud networking.
- Background in multi-site enterprise environments is a plus.
- Exposure to infrastructure projects and vendor transitions.
